New Portraits

The first portrait is of my friend Bobbie, and it's a photomanipulation for my portfolio. The second is of Rachel and, while it isn't for my portfolio, I love it. She has the prettiest bone structure! Click on them to see the larger versions, which look a lot cooler because of the detail.

Markers on hotpress. Inspired by the Little Red Riding Hood fairytale.

Newsprint Nails

It doesn't count as an art piece, but...

Step 1: Paint your nails a pale shade, such as white or silver.
Step 2: Wait until they dry completely.
Step 3: Dip one nail in rubbing alcohol, and make sure to cover the whole nail. If you don't have rubbing alcohol, a high-alcohol substitute will work. I used vodka.
Step 4: Hold down a strip of newspaper on your nail for 30 seconds, then peel it off.
Step 5: Put on a coat of clear nail polish so it lasts.

It wasn't difficult at all. I read about this somewhere before, but I can't recall where. It was probably an article I came across or something.
